The Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns

Hi all,

Found a nice song on Youtube: The Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns

Like the rock voice of the singer, find it somewhat similar to Creed's.
But instead of a shallow acceptance of death "maybe six feet aint so far down" (Creed), Casting Crowns sings of "the Voice of Truth says this is for my glory".
That as we fight life's battles, we will be crowned with His glory at the finish.

Their ability to squeeze so much words into a song is also quite amazing.

Enjoy!

Lunch @ the secret place

Folks of The Allegiance descended upon "the secret place", or Handmade Curry Puff in Balestier to have our very first lunch outing. There we tasted delicacies such as curry chicken rice and mee soup and chicken cutlet rice. WOOHOO! Yum yum! =)

Welcome to Year 2008.

As we usher in the new year, it is important to look back on the year that has passed us, and to reflect on the areas that God has blessed us in.

The Bible says, "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." (Ps 107:1)

As we face new challenges in the next year, remember the LORD and the things he has given to us. Face each day with positivity because we know that God loves us and wills for us to prosper and to live our lifes abundantly. Thank God also that He has brought us where we are, and that our situation is not worse off, as it probably can be.

In times of difficulty, choose to think on the bright side and to thank God for the opportunity and experiences given to us instead of grumbling and bemoaning our fate.

I hope that 2008 would be a fruitful year for all of us and we will all grow continuously in the LORD as a community. Happy New Year!!

A New Home, A New Beginning

After more than a year of having our blog at http://allegiance-blog.blogspot.com/, we have relocated to our new home! This move coincides with the decision to shift our meeting time from Saturdays at e-Centre to Sundays at Quality Hotel right after our Sunday Service.

We hope that having a shorter URL and having a new blog would encourage more youths to visit and to be actively involved in what would appear here.

Watch this space for more posts, photographs, and even videos!
